My entry for Tattoo Lolly Contest. I made this in Adobe Illustrator by spelling out "Lolly deviantART" in Draconomicon font, which is a language in the cartoon "Dragonbooster". You can download the font HERE. Then I used the Transmogrifier graphic style in Illustrator, which give it that neat effect. The original stroke colour was yellow. It took me a while to figure it out how to change the stroke colour and then I changed it to a blue green colour, which is deviantART's colours.
Very cool ....Nong
very cool-looking! reminds me of those fractal paintings, somehow. I would never have noticed the words if you hadn't pointed them out
oh wow its CRAZY!!
Thanx! I luv the font I used in order to make it.
This is way cool! I hate illustrator because it's so hard to learn. I want to learn it someday though. You can do something similar to this in Photoshop, by using a shape, then you just move it a little, change the angle, and then repeat it over and over and over.
Great design element
Very cool design...but i have to tell you that that would be utterly impossible to tattoo. too many line too close together...id look like a big blob... ...but the design is still very spiffy!
Thanx! I never had time to take that into consideration but your right, it would be impossible to tattoo. My computer was broken for a week and a half so I couldn't work on the tattoo sooner. As soon as my computer was fixed, 75% or more of my programs didn't work anymore. Plus I had a quiz to study for so at the same so I had very little time to make this. I whipped this up pretty fast since it was the last day to enter the contest and I was also studying and I also had to attend a group meeting at school so I was really busy that day. Anyway, I'm still glad that ya like the design. That graphic style is my fav in Illustrator.
hehe...i too added my entrys the very last day *shrugs*... didnt you sooo go through computer withdrawls with it broken? i know i just go crazt if a cant check MY MYSPACE!!! MUUAAHAHA.......just kidding...i'm not that crazy...
Not really! I don't have internet at home so I had to get use to every year with hardly having any internet access during the summer. It will be the same this year by going to the library 1 to 3 times a week unless we finally get internet at home. My family has been looking into it recently but it's hard to find a provider that provides internet to country folk for a cheap price. My family is very poor so we could never afford internet in the past. I've been surfing the web since the spring of 1999 and I did go crazy without it in the beginning but over the years I've gotten used to it.
That's really cool looking design there. I think the nearly spiral effect is eye capturing.
That's pretty cool. Good job!
Wow. That seems like it'd be very painful to get tattooed.
Ya! Personally, I'd never do it. Temporary tattoos are okay. I haven't had one of those in years. But I wouldn't want one that lasts for life in case in the future I don't like it anymore and would want to get rid of it. There are ways to remove tattoos like laser but that would be way too painful for me to bear. I got my ears pierced when I was 5 and that was painful enough.
